Dekeos Free, Open Source Learning Management System
In order to compare course design using social networks, free blogs, and wikis with learning management systems I explored several open source LMS programs. Dokeos was the easiest to install, though it wasn't easy. I needed to create a local host on my laptop that acted like an Apache server, and then install Dokeos. That being noted, the program itself looks amazing. Many of the features we've designed into our wikis, blogs and projects are present and ready for use upon opening the software.
I'll be exploring the features in order to complete the assessment.
